Product description

You must pause before this piece. The golden-yellow background is entirely covered with small line-drawn flowers—hundreds of them, dense and regular, like garden wallpaper. Against this backdrop, two cobalt-blue and green birds perched on leafy branches display their feathers with the precision of an illuminated manuscript. The slightly raised octagonal rim frames the composition like a jewel case. On the outside, the bowl enters a different world: a deep celadon green with a subtle, sober, almost mineral relief pattern. Two sides, two characters, a single coherence. This bowl belongs to the great Kutani tradition of Ishikawa Prefecture, known since the 17th century for its intense polychrome enamels and narrative compositions. It is made to be placed in the center of a table, to hold fruit, a seasonal salad, or simply to be admired.

Care: this ceramic piece should be hand-washed to preserve the painted decoration and glaze over time.
